This branch was created in order to set a cleaner workflow for editing the settings.py file for a local machine without affecting global settings. Another reason was to add a .gitignore file in order to ignore the numerous files that get modified when running the app. The .xml files below are examples of such files that I had to commit in order to get them off of my git staging area.
